SURFSIDE Beach, S.C. — Crystal Smith was ready to open up her brand name-new pet-grooming shop right up until she learned her building was spray-painted with vulgar language in July.
Smith, operator of Angel Animals, rented an vacant device, the former Fishmonger Seafood Cafe, in Surfside Seaside to open a dog-washing station.
She found out expletive language sprayed on the facet of the constructing, at 1511 S. U.S. Highway 17, last month and a handful of times afterwards, identified a gang signature reading “239 Distress ATK.”
Smith noted the vandalism to the Surfside Law enforcement Section on July 31.
